# Creating a Configuration to Record GNSS data

Begin creating a new configuration by clicking on the 'New Configuration' tab. Name the configuration and click 'OK.'

While performing this step, check the sleep mode settings to avoid battery drain.

* Use the drop-down menu to select the 'No Sleep' mode and then click 'OK'.

Click on the 'New Bus' tab and select 'GPS and Accelerometer' from the listed options and then click 'OK'.

This opens the 'New GPS Protocol' window to define the GPS protocol Settings.

* Define the GPS and accelerometer rate and click 'OK'.
