# Create and manage a Configuration in Dialog Software

To create a configuration, click the 'New Configuration' tab under the 'Configuration' tab and name the configuration.

While performing this step, check the sleep mode settings to avoid battery drain.

* Use the drop-down menu to select the required mode.

* Ensure that the 'Limit Module Wakeup' is not enabled, and then select 'OK'.

Select the 'New Bus' tab.

Select CAN 0 (HS), and select 'OK'.

Select the drop-down CAN/bus speed menu, allocate the correct bus speed that matches your CAN network requirement, and then select 'OK'.

Click on 'New Protocol', select the required option from the displayed choices, and click 'OK'.

Select the 'CAN Monitor' protocol and then click 'OK'.

Once the below screen appears, enable the checkbox in front of 'Log All Channels' and click 'OK' to proceed.

Now connect your Rebel data logger using a USB cable and right-click to display, and click the 'Send Configuration to the Logger' option.

Click 'Yes' to continue.

'Configuration uploaded' status is displayed on the 'Status message' (at the bottom left section) window once the processing is complete.
