# Format the SD card of the Rebel Data Logger.
After launching the Dialog Software, the user must connect the Rebel Data logger to the PC using a USB cable. To format the SD card in the Rebel data logger, click the 'Format SD' tab in the navigation bar.
The user must click 'Yes' if they wish to proceed; otherwise, click 'No' to stop the SD card from getting formatted (the SD card is not formatted until now).
Once the user has pressed the 'OK' tab and selected to format the SD card, the below window is displayed.
Once done, press 'Yes' to erase the device's active configuration; else 'No'.
Once the SD card is formatted successfully, it will reflect the status on the status message window.
