# Start-up Guide: ReXgen Pro

### After reflashing, the logger will automatically reconnect to the software to download the ReXdesk software

### SIM CARD INSERTION (for devices with non-soldered SIM cards)

### How to configure Wi-Fi settings to start up REXGEN Pro.

**Note:**

* The default password is **12345678**.

Open the Wi-Fi settings on your device (laptop, mobile, or tablet).&#x20;\
Select the default serial number of your Pro device.&#x20;\
Select the Wi-Fi that you wish to connect to on the Wi-Fi configuration window, and click 'Configure'.

**Note:**

* The default password is 12345678.

Upon clicking Configure, the 'Wi-Fi hotspot' will get disconnected.

The status of LED 8 indicates the Wi-Fi configuration status. Once the hotspot connection is successful, LED 8 will turn bold after a one-minute pause.

Once the configuration is successful and the device is connected to the specified Wi-Fi.&#x20;

**Note:**

* Ensure your system and the ReXgen Pro device are connected to the same Wi-Fi.

* Once configured, open the ReXdesk software and click the USB icon on the status bar (located in the lower-left corner).

* Click on TCP/IP and scan for local networks.

* Scan Local Network.

* Select the name and IP of your Pro device, and click Connect.&#x20;

Click OK to exit the ReXgen Connect window.

Once completed, the status on the status bar is updated to 'CONNECTED'.

### To update the firmware

Open ReXdesk, connect the logger and click the ‘Reflash’ option under the Device tab.

**Reflash** – Select the required firmware to update the logger.

#### Notes:

* Do not disconnect the logger until the logger LED stops flashing. After reflashing, the logger will automatically reconnect to the software.
* Please ensure that the internal storage is formatted after reflashing the logger.

### To set the time

* Open ReXdesk, connect the logger and click  ‘Set Time’ on the top taskbar.
* To synchronise the logger’s time with your PC, select ‘Synchronise with PC.&#x20;

**Or**

* To manually set the logger’s time, select ‘Set Custom Date Time’.
* Click ‘Set Time” to save.

### To start logging

* Open ReXdesk, connect the logger, double-click, or drag and drop the ‘Log All’ icon into the configuration window.
* Click the ‘Run’ icon on the top taskbar and save the project.
* Once the Configuration is uploaded successfully, click OK.

### To open a data log from internal storage

* Click the ‘Internal Storage’ icon on the top taskbar and select the file you wish to open.
* Click on the ‘Download’ tab and select the required format for download.

* Always ensure the device is installed, connected, and commissioned by a qualified professional.
* The device must only be repaired by the manufacturer.

### &#x20;How to enable Cloud settings for the ReXgen Pro  logger

* &#x20;Click the Tool tab in the Navigation bar and select Cloud Settings.

### How to enable AWS configuration in the ReXgen logger

* &#x20;Prepare the base configuration for the logger.
* In the Device Configuration window, click on the 'Upload' tab.
* Enable the 'checkbox' for 'Enable AWS'.
  * For a single setting, details are auto-filled in the subsequent sections.
  * Users can select the desired setting from the corresponding drop-down menus for multiple settings.
* Click the ‘Run’ tab in the Navigation bar.
* Save the project:
  * Save Project: allows you to save the Project with a user-defined name.
  * Continue as "New Project”: saves the" New Project" configuration.
* Click ‘OK’ once the configuration is uploaded successfully.

### How do you upload the configuration to the logger via AWS?

* Make the new configuration.
* Enable AWS from the Device Configuration menu.

* Set your configuration check time in the given section.

* Save the Project with the name you require for the configuration.

* Under the ‘Config’ tab, select Export from the drop-down menu.

* Select ‘Export ReXgen Configuration (rxc)’ from the listed options.

* Save the file with the desired name.

* Click ‘Save''.

* Once saved, rename the file as 'config.rxc.'
