# Installation Guide

## **Instructions for New users:**

* Install the ReXdesk software by running the .msi file dowloaded
* Proceed with the installation of Visual C++ Redistributable and Dotnet runtime.
* Install the ReXgen Driver from “Start Menu->Influx Technology->ReXgen Drivers Installer” or  “C:\Program Files (x86)\Influx Technology\ReXdesk\Drivers”
* ReXdesk and ReXgen Manual can be accessed from [<mark style="color:blue;">**here**</mark>](/support_guides/rexdesk-configuration-software-s/rexdesk-rexgen-series-configuration-software/rexdesk-manual.md) or from the Help Menu or from “C:\Program Files (x86)\Influx Technology\ReXdesk\Help”

## **Instructions for existing users:**

Uninstall any previous version of ReXdesk before installing the new version.

The Firmware of ReXgen should be updated to the latest version before using it with the new version of the software.

Firmware is located in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Influx Technology\ReXdesk\Firmware)

* Format the SD card after reflashing the firmware.
* Make sure the logger is fully powered while reflashing.
* Make sure the data is copied before the firmware update.
