Begin creating a new configuration by clicking on the 'New Configuration' tab. Name the configuration and click 'OK.'

While performing this step, check the sleep mode settings to avoid battery drain.

  • Use the drop-down menu to select the required mode.

  • Ensure that the 'Limit Module Wakeup' is not enabled, and then select 'OK'.

Click on the 'New Bus' tab, Select CAN 0(HS) from the displayed options and click 'OK'.

Select the drop-down CAN /bus speed menu, allocate the correct bus speed that matches your CAN network requirement, and then select 'OK'.

Click on 'New Protocol'.

Select 'CAN Monitor' from the displayed choices, and click 'OK'.

Note:

The below step is completely optional. It is recommended not to be used when using DBC.

Enable the check box before 'Log All Channels' to enable full CAN log trace, and click 'OK'.

Click on the DBC editor tab (on the extreme left window) and then click the 'load DBC icon'.

Locate and select the DBC file on your PC and then select 'Open'.

Once the DBc is loaded, select the desired items and click, 'Copy Items'.
